About Our Cornwall Provision
Player Ready Level-Up! Alternative Provision is Cornwall Council Approved and based in Truro city centre. Cornwall was one of the first local authorities to invite new providers to join its updated framework, and Player Ready was successfully accepted in Summer 2024.
Our Cornwall provision offers specialised support in emotional well-being, mental health, and SEN through technology. Sessions involve coding lessons, robotics, Virtual Reality, 3D modelling, video creation and editing, and other tech-based activities in a relaxed, supportive environment. We offer coding lessons that build upon new skills each week resulting in a finished project at the end of each term.
Player Ready Cornwall Level-Up! advocates for education through play and interaction, aiming to meet individual needs while enhancing tech and creative skills. We use technology as a platform for life skill development and emotional growth, creating genuine connections that become a pathway to confidence and personal development.

Cornwall Area Information
Player Ready Level-Up Cornwall is located in Truro City Centre, on the 2nd floor of Chiltern House on the corner of City Road and Calenick Street — above Concord Recruitment, next to the British Heart Foundation. The building has a distinctive large glass-fronted corner structure. We have a 5-car capacity car park at the rear for parents, teachers, and support workers.
Cornwall's rural geography means many families are significant distances from specialist SEND provision. From Penzance and Falmouth to Bodmin and Bude, our Truro venue provides a central location. For families who cannot travel, our full online provision is available.
Cornwall Council's SEND team commissions alternative provision for young people with EHCPs and those requiring EOTAS or Section 19 placements. Schools across Cornwall can also commission directly.
Supporting Young People in Cornwall
We work with young people aged 5-18 across Cornwall who are struggling in mainstream education. This includes students with autism (ASD), ADHD, anxiety, social-emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), school refusers, and those who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion.
Our approach uses gaming and technology — Minecraft, Roblox, coding, and digital creativity — as the foundation for learning. We don't replicate school. We create something different: calm, focused, and built around what the student actually enjoys.
Every approach is unique. We assess each student individually, match them with the right mentor, and create a personalised plan that addresses their specific needs and goals. Sessions are part-time — typically 3 to 15 hours per week.
