EOTAS
in London
Online EOTAS provision for all London boroughs. Approval packs ready for commissioning.
What Is EOTAS?
EOTAS — Education Other Than At School — is education provided for children and young people who, for whatever reason, cannot attend a mainstream or special school. Local authorities have a legal duty under Section 19 of the Education Act 1996 to arrange suitable education for these young people.
Player Ready delivers EOTAS provision across London primarily through our online 1:1 mentoring programme, with the option of attending our nearest venue. We use gaming and technology — Minecraft, Roblox, coding, and digital creativity — as the foundation for personalised education.
Our approach is part-time (up to 15 hours per week for under-16s) and designed to complement other support. We are not a school. We offer something different — and for many young people, that's exactly what works.
EOTAS Provision in London
Player Ready delivers creative, high-engagement alternative provision for children and young people across Greater London who are not currently in school. Our team provides personalised EOTAS packages supporting learners with complex needs, SEND diagnoses, or long-term absence from education.
With a focus on engagement, flexibility, and emotional safety, we help learners re-engage with education through tailored, interest-led provision delivered online. Our provision spans primary, secondary, and Post-16, including support for older learners with EHCPs under Section 139a (up to age 25+).
Although we are not yet listed as a pre-approved provider in London borough directories, we are fully ready to be commissioned. We have approval packs prepared including Safeguarding, Safer Recruitment, DBS, insurance, policies, and risk assessments. We attend introduction meetings and provide all documentation promptly.
