EOTAS
in Oxfordshire

Oxfordshire County Council approved since January 2025. Online EOTAS provision serving the whole county.

Approved by Oxfordshire County Council since January 2025

What Is EOTAS?

EOTAS — Education Other Than At School — is education provided for children and young people who, for whatever reason, cannot attend a mainstream or special school. Local authorities have a legal duty under Section 19 of the Education Act 1996 to arrange suitable education for these young people.

Player Ready delivers EOTAS provision across Oxfordshire primarily through our online 1:1 mentoring programme, with the option of attending our nearest venue. We use gaming and technology — Minecraft, Roblox, coding, and digital creativity — as the foundation for personalised education.

Our approach is part-time (up to 15 hours per week for under-16s) and designed to complement other support. We are not a school. We offer something different — and for many young people, that's exactly what works.

EOTAS Provision in Oxfordshire

Player Ready Level-Up! is an Oxfordshire County Council approved alternative provision provider since January 2025. We deliver flexible, technology-driven education for children and young people who are unable to access mainstream education or are on limited school timetables.

Our Oxfordshire provision is currently delivered online, with comprehensive 1:1 mentoring using the same curriculum and reporting as our venue-based sessions. We tailor each session to the child's needs, whether through coding, virtual reality, robotics, or digital creativity.

We create an engaging and child-centred learning environment that builds trust and rapport between students and mentors. Our provision supports students working towards EHCP or education plan goals, with progress reports contributing to reviews.

Oxfordshire Area Information

We serve families and schools across Oxfordshire — Oxford city, Banbury, Bicester, Witney, Didcot, Henley-on-Thames, and surrounding areas. All provision is delivered online via 1:1 video call.
