Went here to celebrate my birthday with family and had an absolute 🐳 of a time! We did the FreeRoam VR experience and... the various modes were perfect for a group of people. I had loads of fun playing Arrowsong co-op game, but that might just be because I lost in the Laser tag! That in particular really showed the strengths of this mode, it's unlike anything I've ever experienced.I'm really looking forward to going back again and trying out some more games, maybe I'll try the Arcade mode next time!read more

The children chose the adventure based on Assassins creed we were put in a pyramid with puzzles and tasks suitable for all of us. The best hours fun we have had in ages. Will definitely visit again. All equipment was being wiped down after every use and everyone was asked to wash their hands before playing. Staff were both well informed of what games are available and explained how to play well. Really friendly welcome by the guy in the shop. He explained everything to the children and set up their games, sorted... any problems and advised them on the games, even when the shop was full he juggled everyone's needs well. The shop is well equipped with high end equipment which all worked exceptionally well. We had a brilliant time and the kids really enjoyed it, ( I was entertained just watching their responses.) The chap running the place had the patience of a saint with 2 overexcited kids...and was quick to fix any issues people were having - in our case flipped over cars. Today was the first proper VR experience for my son's and myself . We arrived slightly late , but the staff got us up... and running very quickly and then stayed close to ease us through the initial " what do we " stage . Both kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the premises were clean and tidy. Customer service was amazing as I wasn't playing so was able to have a good chat about the company and vr stuff. Covid wise there is plenty of antibac gel everywhere and they clean the equipment thoroughly and all the cushions for the headsets get put through a steriliser. Player Ready Plymouth is an absolutely fantastic futuristic gaming experience for all ages. I took my family of 6 here... last week after being recommended by a friend. A member of staff 'Amber' was very helpful with the online booking system and gave great guidance on all they had to offer at the venue. We were all amazed and impressed by the multiplayer VR games available for us to play together. They provided freshly sterilized consoles and very thorough and helpful instructions during every game we played. we had our 9 year olds party there on the 19th Feb. did not enjoy the experience. the staff were not professional.... they did not make my son or his group feel special (or even wish him happy birthday) when I phoned the following day to make a complaint I was told the person in charge at the party had tested positive for covid... which makes sense as to why he had no energy about him and why he wasn't getting involved with the group, but my expectations were much higher having read the previous reviews and I did not get a positive experience at all. The weekend member of staff who led the group upstairs was useless and was clearly using his phone for personal use watching videos! he certainly wasn't using it to do things with the games. I had to ask him who was in which place etc for the laser tag. it is also not clear when booking that there are only 4 headsets for laser tag. we expected that the whole group would be able to join in together but some had to sit out. it's such a shame because it could be great but I would not recommend and we certainly did not get value for money for the experience we were provided. I'm not quite sure how it is still showing as 4.8 out of 5 stars!read more

We booked the gold package for 15 adults, so had the place to ourselves for 2.5 hours.We used all facilities, vr, vr... laser tag, Xbox and the car racing.It’s a great space spread over 3 rooms, maybe a little bit small for that many adults though, lolTook us all a while to get the hang of it but staff were on hand to help. And there were a few glitches, but that’s to be expected. Staff were overall quite patient with us, I think possibly for that many people another person would be handy as there were moments we were waiting for assistance. Having that many people in our party meant we didn’t use the sets for as long as we could’ve, as we all kept chopping and changing between each activity, and you had to get the head sets adjusted each time, and suss out controls.But once you were in a game it was mainly straight forward, and really good fun!Some incredibly realistic games and experiences. The vr laser tag upstairs was probably the best. But downstairs there were so many games to choose from, and different gaming levels. The only downside was a couple of people got motion sickness, which put them off playing. (The car racing was the worst for this, so play without the vr headset if you suffer, or maybe leave this one til last)Also the next party arrived for their slot 20 mins early, which was a little off putting as they were then in our space and meant a couple of the sets couldn’t be used 😣Over all an amazing experience, which most of us would do again! 😍read more

I attended a gold party this evening with my children ages 8 and 11, as we left the party my son pointed to a poster... and told me he’d played that game, as it didn’t look child appropriate i spoke to a member of staff who informed me that game has an 18 rating, my son also played another game that was a 15. The party was booked for a 9 year old, the age of the child was requested on the booking form. The party host and I assumed the games the children could play would be age appropriate, I am appalled that the children were exposed to games way beyond their age, I asked the staff if they restrict the games for children’s parties and was told ‘we can do’. when I then questioned the policy I was told ‘some parents don’t mind’ this response is not acceptable, I feel it is your responsibility to restrict games with an adult age rating, and this should be the default option when booking parties especially for young children. Assuming you can legally allow underage children to play these games on your premises it should be the parents choice, and I strongly believe you have the responsibility to at least make it clear on the booking form that unless you state otherwise these games will be available.read more

Booked a VR experience for myself and my 12 yea old son in the week for his birthday and it was the best fun we have... had in ages! The chaps who work there are genuinely so lovely and helpful and put us at ease, made us laugh and were on hand to help us whilst we learnt the ropes. If the games lagged(which they can do a little if there's lots of activity and for various other reasons) they were on it to fix issues right away so it didn't eat into our time or experience. There are soooooo many game options available over 40 I believe! We are excited to go back to do the free run arena and play more multiplayer games soon! Thank you for a great time! The main feedback was that they all had a great time and my... son had "the best day ever" 😍Josh and Elliot looked after the kids really well, were patient, kind and encouraging - really lovely, friendly people, which helped make the experience all the better! Booking is super straightforward online and if you need to talk to anyone, I would recommend using Facebook Messenger as the team responds really well that way.It was quite hot when we went, but I was reliably informed that they will be getting air conditioning!!With or without that though, based on our experience, we would definitely book to do this again! I’ve been here 2/3 times with my 8yr old son on the VR racing sim. The booking system is faultless, as is the service... and knowledge of the guys there. Staff were great, really friendly and helpful. Kids enjoyed the games which seem to cater for every age/skill level.... Experience was only let down slightly by technical issues/bugs with the gaming system which crashed a couple of times, but that said they did allow for extra time at the end because of it.read more
