What We Offer in Brighton & Hove:

Player Ready Level-Up! Alternative Provision Brighton is recognized by Brighton & Hove City Council as an approved alternative educational provider. Our programs cater to students who face challenges in the traditional school system, offering a dynamic, tech-focused learning experience that aligns with their unique needs and aspirations.

Our provision combines specialized support in emotional well-being, mental health, and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) with cutting-edge technology. We create an engaging and child-centered learning environment that builds trust and rapport between students and their mentors, ensuring students feel supported in a safe and welcoming space.

Empowering Learning Through Technology:

Our sessions, designed to accommodate both 1:1 interactions and small group settings, involve a wide range of tech-based activities such as:

  • Coding Lessons: Step-by-step coding instruction, culminating in a final project that students can take pride in.
  • Robotics & 3D Modeling: Hands-on technology projects to stimulate creative and logical thinking.
  • Virtual Reality Experiences: Immersive VR lessons designed to make learning fun and interactive.
  • Video Production & Editing: Opportunities for students to explore their creativity and develop digital media skills.

We focus on each child’s personal development by delivering education through a playful and interactive approach. This not only helps them build vital digital skills but also contributes to their emotional growth and overall well-being.

Our Philosophy: Learning Through Play & Connection

We strongly believe that education should be engaging and enjoyable. Technology provides a space where children feel at ease, and we leverage that familiarity to help them gain new skills and confidence. Our regular sessions create lasting bonds between students and their tutors, promoting a supportive environment that extends beyond education, fostering personal growth, social skills, and emotional well-being.

Player Ready Brighton & Hove is committed to delivering exceptional education through technology, preparing students for a digital future. Our combination of education and personal development ensures that our students feel empowered and ready to thrive.

Online & Hybrid Learning Options

We understand that attending face-to-face sessions isn’t always feasible due to physical or mental health challenges. That’s why we offer hybrid learning options through platforms like Zoom and Teams, combining our in-person curriculum with flexible online support to meet each student’s unique needs.

AP-Lite – Small Group SEND-Friendly Sessions

For families seeking flexible options outside of traditional funding, we offer AP-Lite—a reduced-length alternative provision designed for small groups of up to six children or young people. This is perfect for those engaged in Elective Home Education or those awaiting additional funding support. AP-Lite provides a valuable opportunity to access our SEND-friendly education services at a lower cost.
