PLAYER READY SUBJECTS & CURRICULUMย

STEM | CODING | VIDEO | DIGITAL ART | GAME DEVELOPMENT | STOP ANIMATION | HARDWAREย

The Player Ready Curriculum is a dynamic and evolving pathway designed to guide young people from their first creative spark to real-world digital skills. We start in the block-based universe of Minecraft, where learners build confidence through exploration, collaboration, and design thinking. From there, they step up to Roblox Studio, unlocking the power of coding and game mechanics through Lua scripting and interactive game design.

As their technical and creative abilities develop, students transition into industry-standard platforms like Unreal Engine and Unity โ€” learning to create immersive 3D games, simulations, and experiences that reflect professional workflows. These tools form the backbone of many future-focused careers in tech, games, and interactive media.

Alongside this progression, we already deliver hands-on learning in 3D modelling (Blender), 3D printing, sound design and FX, video editing, and digital content creation โ€” all currently being formalised into structured, trackable courses suitable for learners of all ages.

Our curriculum doesnโ€™t just stop at software. Weโ€™re also introducing modules on computer hardware fundamentals, basic robotics using LEGO SPIKE, and stop motion animation, giving students a chance to work across physical and digital mediums.

These programmes are perfect for beginners through to advanced learners and are also designed to support Post-16 pathways โ€” helping young people build the skills, portfolios, and confidence needed for further education, employment, or entrepreneurship in creative and tech industries.

Whether you’re a young creator, a curious coder, or preparing for your future, the Player Ready Curriculum gives you the tools to thrive in a digital world.

๐ŸŽ“Learn to Code Through Minecraft: A Fun-Filled Path to Game Development for Kids

(AQA Accredited)

At Player Ready, we teach real coding, logic, and digital creativity by turning your childโ€™s favourite game into their first development platform. Our curriculum blends Minecraft modding, visual coding, and game design fundamentals to inspire confidence, problem-solving skills, and future-ready tech talent in young minds.

Through hands-on lessons using powerful tools like MCreator and BlockBench, children and teens donโ€™t just play Minecraft โ€” they build their own weapons, traps, mobs, and dungeons. Each week, they create something tangible, from magic wands to boss battles, while learning:

  • How to think like a programmer

  • Core game mechanics and logic

  • 3D modelling and asset design

  • The foundations of computer science, all in a visual, beginner-friendly format

Whether theyโ€™re coding projectile-launching swords, crafting custom mobs, or designing their own loot system, your child will be immersed in a world where creativity meets coding โ€” with no prior experience needed.

Perfect for ages 8+, our courses introduce game development, modding, and digital design in a format that feels like fun but teaches real, valuable skills. Itโ€™s STEM learning, disguised as play.
