Who are we, and what do we offer?

Player Ready Level-Up! Alternative Provision offers specialized support for post-16 students (ages 16-19) with a focus on emotional well-being, mental health, and SEN needs. Using the immersive world of technology, we provide a tailored learning environment that fosters trust, independence, and personal growth. We recognize that mainstream education doesn’t always meet the needs of every young person, and our flexible, fun, and safe setting offers an engaging alternative.

Our post-16 provision emphasizes life skills and career readiness through tech-driven activities like coding, robotics, Virtual Reality, 3D modeling, video production, and other creative digital disciplines. Our student-led approach allows young people to progress at their own pace, working on practical projects that build technical skills over time. By the end of each term, students will have completed a meaningful project they can showcase, reflecting their learning journey and achievements.

We are committed to aligning our support with the educational goals outlined in EHCPs or Education Plans, contributing regular progress reports for reviews. Our sessions aren’t just about education—they focus on preparing students for future pathways, whether that’s further education, apprenticeships, or the workplace.

By fostering strong, supportive relationships between students, tutors, and peers, Player Ready Level-Up! creates a community where students feel safe to explore their passions, develop social skills, and build confidence. Through technology, we provide a comfortable space for students to develop both professionally and personally, empowering them to thrive in today’s digital age.

Hybrid

Therefore, when deemed suitable, our tutors and mentors can work in a hybrid environment using tools such as Zoom/Teams to offer remote delivery of our curriculum.

AP-Lite

Reduced length Alternative Provision for self-funding parents,  sitting between our Clubs & Alternative Provision these two hour smaller SEND friendly groups of six Young people allow you to access our provision when you cannot secure external funding, for example when Elective Home Educating or when your child is not enrolled with a school.

Local Authorities we work with…

As part of guidelines from the Department of Education (DfE) and OfSTED last year, Local Authorities (councils) have been tasked with bringing their Alternative Provision offering upto a higher standard which involves more robust Quality Assurance (QA). Player Ready is committed to this process since our launching our AP offering. It’s a long process depending on the particular Local Authority and their own timelines.

However we can still work with self-funding parents, direct referrals from Schools or via Direct Payments regardless of being listed on the Local Authority, so if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact our team.
